A RESOLUTION COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING THE KOSSUTH HIGH SCHOOL AGGIES FOOTBALL TEAM FOR THEIR OUTSTANDING 1998 SEASON AND FOR WINNING THE DIVISION I CLASS 3A CHAMPIONSHIP.

WHEREAS, the Kossuth High School Aggies Football Team finished the 1998 season with a remarkable record of 12 wins and only one loss; and

WHEREAS, many individual honors have been bestowed upon various team members in recognition of their fine, dedicated play this season including the naming of Curtis Henry and Brad Bonds to the first team of the Daily Journal All-Area Team as well as to the All-District I Team and the Daily Corinthian All-Area Team and the selection of Josh Beckham, Corey Clark, Joe Dixon, Brian Kelly, Chad Redding, T.J. Seago, Craig Settlemires, Brad Taylor and Jamie Vansandt to the All-District I Team and the Daily Corinthian All-Area Team; and

WHEREAS, the Kossuth High School Aggies have been superbly coached and inspired by Head Coach Charlie Dampeer and Assistant Coaches Wayne Henry, Bo Seago, Pete Seago and Stacy Suggs, who have broadened the Aggies' knowledge of the game and refined their skills in execution; and

WHEREAS, the Aggies have developed a winning and cooperative spirit and a high degree of sportsmanship, and their activities and attitude reflect great credit upon the individual players and their coaches and bring honor to Kossuth High School; and

WHEREAS, it is the policy of the House of Representatives to recognize and commend excellence, especially when evidenced by the youth of our state, who are its future:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, That we commend and congratulate the Kossuth High School Aggies Football Team and their coaches, Head Coach Charlie Dampeer and Assistant Coaches Wayne Henry, Bo Seago, Pete Seago and Stacy Suggs, for their phenomenal 1998 season, for winning the Division I Class 3A Championship and for displaying tireless devotion to their athletic endeavors.

BE IF FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Kossuth High School, Head Coach Charlie Dampeer and Assistant Coaches Wayne Henry, Bo Seago, Pete Seago and Stacy Suggs.
